The Girls' Wellness initiative is dedicated to providing aid and support to underserved women and girls across the globe. We aim to provide both education and resources to help women understand and support their bodies. We host seminars with local doctors and activists to provide education to young girls in the United States who do not have access to health curriculums in school. We also donate menstrual products to women across the globe dealing with period poverty.
All donations made to The Girls' Wellness initiative go towards funding our various service programs. These include "Let's talk: Health and Hygiene Seminars" for young girls in underserved communities and our global menstrual hygiene product donations to young women and girls. Menstrual hygiene products are essential for girls to pursue their education, career, and maintain healthy hygiene practices.
Yes, The Girls' Wellness initiative accepts donations in kind such as feminine hygiene products, soaps, razors, and shaving cream. Please check our "Donations" page for more information.
Period poverty is when a woman's lack of financial resources stops her from buying menstrual hygiene products and thereby hinders her from pursuing her education, career, and overall living everyday life. Period poverty has a large stigma across the world and makes many women uncomfortable asking for help or looking for resources to help them.
'Let’s talk: Health and Hygiene Seminars' are seminars hosted by The Girls' Wellness Initiative for underserved teen girls in the US to educate them on menstrual health, hygiene, mental health, and dating violence. these seminars include Q&A sessions with local doctors, activist guest speakers, and basic health curriculum to help educate these girls on their bodies and how to best take care of themselves. Oftentimes, these seminars also have partner donation drives to provide the girls with menstrual hygiene products, razors, shaving cream, body wash, and other necessary hygiene items.
Many thanks to our generous donors for their support. We hope to continue the work to provide resources and education to girls across the world.
